CONWAY, Ark. – Central Arkansas rolled up 467 yards of total offense and eight touchdowns in the first half, and went on to a 70-0 victory over HBU in Southland Conference football Saturday night at Estes Stadium.

UCA's quarterbacks combined to complete 15-of-17 passes for 287 yards and four touchdowns. Taylor Reed was 5-for-5 for 106 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing four times for 37 yards and a score. Ryan Howard was 7-for-8 for 110 yards and a touchdown, while Hayden Hildebrand was 3-for-4 for 71 yards and a touchdown for the Bears (4-3, 3-0). Dominique Thomas led UCA with 89 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Darrien Daniels had 83 yards and a touchdown. Desmond Smith made five catches for 63 yards and a touchdown, Justin Dickey made two catches for 82 yards and a touchdown, and Courtney Whitehead had a 60-yard touchdown reception.
UCA totaled 545 yards of offense, with 258 rushing and 287 passing, while HBU gained 131 yards – 79 on the ground and 52 through the air. The Bears converted 21 first downs and the Huskies made 13.
In the first quarter, the Bears scored first on a pair of Reed touchdown passes – a 36-yarder to Smith and a 46-yarder to Damien Watts. Howard added a 73-yard strike to Dickey to put UCA ahead, 21-0, at the end of the period.
Reed opened the second-quarter scoring with a six-yard touchdown run, then 14 seconds later Ricky Wyatt returned a Baker interception 23 yards for a touchdown. Thomas scored on a 56-yard run, then ran 12 yards for another touchdown. Whitehead then hauled in a 60-yard pass from Hildebrand with 1:19 remaining in the half to put UCA ahead, 56-0.
In the third quarter, George Odum returned a punt 36 yards for a touchdown, and Daniels capped the scoring and a 59-yard drive with a 1-yard run.
The Huskies return home for two-straight weeks when they host Stephen F. Austin Oct. 18 at 7 p.m., followed by Nicholls for Homecoming Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at Husky Stadium.
