2016: Barnett played in 10 games as a junior...made 15 tackles, including one for a loss…recorded four pass breakups…posted a season-high five tackles at Incarnate Word (11/17)…made four stops at Southeastern Louisiana (10/22).

2015: Barnett appeared in five games as a sophomore.

2014: Appeared in nine games, including four starts, as a true freshman...made 39 tackles (33 solo)…led the team with five pass breakups and was second with five passes defensed...made a season-high six tackles on five separate occasions, including all solo stops in his last three games at Lamar (11/1), against Nicholls (10/25) and against Stephen F. Austin (10/18)…returned three kickoffs for 57 yards, with a long of 19 yards, at Northern Colorado (9/13).

High School: Was a three-year letterwinner for Coach Bill Barron at Elsik High School in Alief…as a senior, had more than 30 tackles, one interception and threw three touchdown passes to earn first-team all-district honors…as a junior, racked up more than 50 tackles and was named second-team al-district…earned all-academic honors.

Personal: Full name is Dominique Lee Wayne Barnett…born Dec. 14, 1994, in Houston…son of Kelvin Williams and Nicole Stevens…has two sisters, Tyamber Williams and Dejah Fowler…majoring in kinesiology.
