Texas State (4-2) is led by Matt Staff with 12.7 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Eddie Rios alos averages 12.7 points per game, while Brooks Ybarra averages 11.8 points per game. Reid Koenen averages 8.0 points per game and four players average 7.3 points per game for the Bobcats, including Vonn Jones who also averages 4.7 assists per game.
Last season, HBU picked up its first victory of the year with an 88-81 win over Texas State on Dec. 4 at Sharp Gym to tie the all-time series, 1-1.
Andrew Gonzalez led four Huskies in double figures with 27 points, while the Bobcats had five players in double figures, led by Jonathan Sloan's 12.
The Huskies return home for three of their next four, starting with Dallas Christian Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7:05 p.m. at Sharp Gym, followed by Campbell on Dec. 14 and Santa Clara on Dec. 21. HBU's lone road game before Christmas break is at 22nd-ranked Creighton Dec. 17 in Omaha, Neb.
