HOUSTON – Houston Baptist University alumni Jeremy Gutierrez and Terry Lewis, along with Shawn Goheen and in connection with iENERGY North America, has donated four flatscreen televisions to the HBU women's basketball program.
“The support and enthusiasm the alums and women's basketball supporters have shown in a simple donation is a step in moving this program forward,” head women's basketball coach Mary Gleason said. “The generosity Terry, Shawn and Jeremy have shown is a kind gesture, but it is just an extension of the kindness I've already seen as we were welcomed here, and is consistent with the family atmosphere on this campus.”
The televisions will be used to enhance the locker room area and coaches offices, and will help the Huskies in preparation for games with a more convenient method to watch game film.
“It's a great opportunity as alums to be able to give back,” Lewis said. “Hopefully, this will be the catalyst that will get other HBU alums involved with athletics.”
