Junior Aeriel Horton and senior partner Jessica Wooten received an invitation to the USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championship in Hermosa Beach, Calif. The Waxahachie, Texas, native and Wooten advanced out of their pool with a win over Hawai'i's top duo, but fell in the first round of bracket play. Horton and Wooten, along with senior Kayla Armer and sophomore Tori Hinojosa, became the first pairs to represent at HBU at the championship.
