Senior rightfielder Brandon Brintz led the Huskies to a sweep on the road against Incarnate Word, going 6-for-11 (.545) with a .667 on-base percentage. In Friday’s opener, the Murrieta, California, native went 2-for-4, drove in two runs, scored one and walked, then went 2-for-3 with two walks and scored a run in Saturday’s victory. In Sunday’s finale, Brintz went 2-for-4, walked, stole a base, drove in the game-winning run in the ninth, then scored the insurance run in HBU’s 3-1 win. He is hitting .397 in conference play with two doubles, a home run, 11 RBIs and 13 runs and is hitting .465 with a .537 on-base percentage, nine RBIs and 10 runs over his last 12 games, all in conference play. Brintz was also named the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week this week.
