Softball sophomore second baseman Demi Janak helped the Huskies begin the season with a 2-2 weekend. The Spring, Texas, native hit .300 with a double, a home run, six RBIs and three runs. In Friday's season-opening 10-3 victory over Alabama State, she delivered a bases-clearing double and a sacrifice fly to finish the game 1-for-1 with four RBIs. In Saturday's 8-3 win over ASU, Janak went 2-for-3, blasting her first home run of the season, driving in two runs and scoring twice.
