KERRVILLE, Texas — The Houston Christian men's golf team opens postseason play on Monday when the Huskies tee off at the 2026 Southland Conference Championship at The Club at Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas. The 54-hole stroke play championship runs from April 20–22, with the Huskies sending five competing players and one alternate into the field alongside seven other Southland Conference programs.
Junior
Brooks Pawlak enters the week as Houston Christian's top-ranked player, sitting at No. 762 nationally with an adjusted scoring average of 72.6 across 30 rounds this season. Pawlak has been the Huskies' most consistent performer all year, posting 10 stroke play events including a top-10 finish at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate and a sixth-place showing at the La Tour Intercollegiate in the fall. He tees off Monday at 11:03 a.m. and will be one of the players to watch across all three rounds.
Senior
Brendon Willey brings plenty of momentum into the championship after a standout spring. Willey finished tied for second at the Colin Montgomerie-HCU Invitational, carding a 12-under performance, and followed that with a top-5 finish at the Border Olympics. He carries a national ranking of No. 791 and a 74.0 adjusted scoring average into the week, making him one of the more dangerous players in the Huskies' lineup. Willey tees off at 11:21 a.m.
Senior
Mason Napier rounds out the trio of upperclassmen with national ranking experience, sitting at No. 1291 with a 74.5 adjusted average across 30 rounds. Napier's best showing of the season came at the La Tour Intercollegiate, where he finished third to earn one of Houston Christian's top-3 results of the year. He also turned in his best event of the spring at the Arkansas State Spring Invitational, tying for 11th at even par just two weeks ago. Napier goes off at 11:12 a.m.

Roy Barrera IV complete the five-man lineup, teeing off at 10:45 a.m. and 10:54 a.m. respectively, giving the Huskies an early wave on Monday morning. Freshman
