SAN MARCOS, Texas – The HCU baseball team is set for a midweek game against Texas State on Tuesday, April 15, at 6:00 p.m. at Bobcat Ballpark.

The Huskies (22-12) wrapped up their sixth-consecutive Southland Conference series victory this past weekend against Northwestern State with a 2-1 edge in the three-game set. HCU exploded for 17 runs on 14 hits in Friday's opener and followed with a 5-2 victory on Saturday, with starting pitcher Joshua Caravalho holding the Demons to just one extra-base hit in seven innings of work. Although they dropped the series finale, 10-5, the Huskies finished the weekend with 26 runs and 31 hits, continuing their strong offensive production.

Jack Walker leads the team with a .366 batting average to rank among the top-10 in the SLC in average. Parker Edwards remains the team's top power threat, topping the charts with seven home runs, 33 RBIs, and a .575 slugging percentage. Kenneth Dutka paces the Huskies in hits (46), runs scored (29), and stolen bases (9). On the mound, Caravalho leads the rotation with a team-best 3.93 ERA and his seven wins are tied for third nationally just behind a pair of pitchers with eight wins for the season.

Texas State (17-18) wrapped up its home series against Southern Miss with a tough start but a thrilling finish. The Bobcats dropped the first two games of the series, falling 5-2 on Friday and 12-1 on Saturday, as their bats struggled and the pitching staff gave up a combined 17 runs. However, they bounced back dramatically on Sunday with an 11-10 victory, fueled by a season-high 13 hits. Texas State's offense exploded for four doubles, a triple, and a home run, avoiding the sweep with a hard-fought win.

Farber holds the team's best batting average at .301 and leads in hits (40), runs scored (22), walks (15) and stolen bases (9). Mora follows closely with a .274 average and leads the Bobcats in slugging percentage (.430), home runs (4), RBIs (20), and total bases (58). As a team, Texas State owns a 5.81 team ERA.
