HCU women's golf team closes out the fall season in Hot Springs, Arkansas

HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas - The HCU women's golf team is set to compete in their final tournament of the fall season at the Diamante Intercollegiate, held at the scenic Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The three-day event, running from October 20-22, will feature 18 participating teams, with the Huskies teeing off each day at 8:30 AM in a shotgun start. The course will play at 6,124 yards and a par of 72.

Participating teams in the Diamante Intercollegiate include Arkansas State, Ball State, Boston College, Bradley, California Baptist, Central Arkansas, Florida Gulf Coast, Houston Christian, Little Rock, Missouri State, Oral Roberts, Southern Illinois, Stephen F. Austin, Tennessee Tech, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Texas A&M Commerce, UT Arlington, and Wichita State.

The HCU women's golf team has shown steady improvement throughout the fall season, competing in three tournaments. Their best finish came at the SeattleU Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, where they finished 12th out of 17 teams. The Huskies recorded a team-low round of 287 in the event, with standout performances from senior Hailey Hendershott, who shot a low round of 66 and finished 24th overall. Natcha Makmanee and Lou Rousselot also contributed to the team's success, with Makmanee averaging 76.2 across nine rounds this season.

At the Diamante Intercollegiate, the HCU team will tee off from Hole 10. Alyssa Stewart will lead the Huskies with a 9:18 AM start, followed by Alejandra Ferrer at 9:26 AM, Hailey Hendershott at 9:34 AM, and Lou Rousselot at 9:42 AM. Natcha Makmanee will round out the group, teeing off at 9:50 AM. The Huskies will face stiff competition from teams like Bradley University, UT Arlington, and Arkansas State, among others, as they aim to close out the fall season on a high note.
