FRISCO, Texas – HCU junior
Krzysztof Turski was named first team academic all-conference by the Southland Conference league office on Wednesday afternoon with the conference's head coaches, sports information directors and academic/compliance staff members from each participating institution voting on the awards.
Turski, who owns a perfect 4.0 grade point average while majoring in interdisciplinary studies, ran in four of the team's five events this season, saving his best race for his last at the Southland Conference championships. At the SLC meet, Turski was the Huskies' third finisher and placed 27
th overall with a time of 26:31.6 on a muddy 8k course.
Turski becomes just the second male cross country runner from HCU to earn first team academic all-SLC honors, along with Ben Drew in 2021.
