HOUSTON – McNeese scored three runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh for a 10-0 victory over HBU in the Southland Conference series finale Sunday afternoon at Husky Field.

Todd Jackson reached base three times for HBU (3-16, 1-7 SLC), singling and walking twice. Redshirt freshman designated hitter

Sophomore righthander
Daxton Tinker (0-4) took the loss, allowing four runs, three earned, on eight hits with four strikeouts and three walks in 4.2 innings.
Tre' Obregon went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and three runs for McNeese (12-7, 6-1), while Nate Fisbeck reached five times, going 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, a hit by pitch, two RBIs and two runs. Jake Dickerson was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, while Cooper Hext was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Brett Whelton was 2-for-4 and scored a run.
Jonathan Ellison (1-0) earned the win, shutting the Huskies out on three hits with five strikeouts and three walks in six innings.
The Huskies return to action when they face Nicholls in a four-game Southland Conference series Friday through Sunday in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
