WBB: Third Period UCA Surge Ends the Huskies SLC Tournament Trip

Julija Vujakovic led HBU in the tournament with 35 total points

KATY, Texas - The early lead for HBU women's basketball wasn't enough after a third period surge from No. 5 seed Central Arkansas as the 56-51 win ended the trip at the Southland Conference Tournament in Katy, Texas for the No. 8 seeded Huskies on Thursday afternoon.

The Sugar Bears stormed out of the half grabbing their first lead since the start of the game. With Marilyn Nzoiwu working in the paint, and a couple Kennedy Wilson free throws, the game was tied 31-31 with a little over five minutes left in the period.
