HOUSTON – HBU takes on UIW Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday at 1 p.m. in Southland Conference volleyball on Family Weekend in Sharp Gym. Both matches will be shown live with
Russ Reneau on the Husky Sports Network.
HBU (14-7, 5-2 SLC) is tied for second in the conference standings and are led by junior setter
Ellie Wipf, who leads the league with 9.59 assists per set, while also adding 2.09 digs per set and totaling 72 kills and 47 blocks. Junior right side
Anna Gadway leads the Huskies with 2.68 kills per set and also averages 2.64 digs per set and has double-doubled in four of the last five matches. Freshman middle blocker

Tatiana Evans and
Alexia Jones were each superb in Feris' absence due to injury last week.
UIW (8-13, 3-4) is led by Bethany Clapp, who ranks second in the Southland with 3.95 kills per set. Jacqueline Arrington is third in the league with 1.07 blocks per set and Macy Sumrall ranks fifth with 4.32 digs per set.
TAMU-CC (11-7, 7-0) is guided by setter Faith Panhans, who averages 9.11 assists, 1.67 kills and 1.31 digs per set. Kyndal Payne averages 3.17 kills per set, Rachel Young adds 2.55 and Montez Uigaese 2.37. Carissa Barnes leads the nation with 6.55 digs per set and also leads the conference in aces.
Last week, the Huskies rallied for a five-set win on the road Thursday against the Cardinals, before dropping a hard-fought five-set decision to the Islanders on Saturday.
The Huskies will be back at home next week for the final two home matches of the regular season against Northwestern State and Southeastern, before returning to Sharp Gym to host the Southland Conference Volleyball Tournament Nov. 18-21.
