CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The HBU Women's Basketball (8-21, 4-16 SLC) program dropped the season finale to the Southland Conference leading Texas A&M- Corpus Christi Islanders (23-7, 17-3), 58-47.
 
The HBU Huskies were led by senior 
Lauren Calver who lead the team with 10 points while collecting three assists and gathering one rebound in her last game as a Husky. Sophomore 
Marilyn Nzoiwu nearly had double-double scoring nine points while recording eight rebounds and one block. Freshman 
Kennedy Wilson scored eight points on seven shots, 3-7. Wilson was 2-2 from behind the arc and was a part of the Huskies four three pointers made on the afternoon.
 
Islanders Dalesia Booth scored a game high 19 points while collecting five rebounds, stealing the ball three times and blocking one shot. The Islanders controlled the boards 40-35 and we led by Tiara Matthews who had a game-high 11 rebounds, scoring eight points and collecting three assists.
