HOUSTON, Texas – The HBU Huskies (4-12, 0-6 SLC) drop this Wednesday's matchup against the Nicholls Colonels (5-13, 2-7 SLC) 84-78, in Southland Conference on Wednesday inside Sharp Gym.
The Huskies freshman guard
Timia Jefferson led all players in scoring with a career and team-high 27 points with 6 rebounds. Junior guard Megan Valdez- Crader put up 19 points, 12 of which were from beyond the arc. The Huskies held an advantage in shots made 29-27 and three pointers made 12-28 shooting 42.9 percent from behind the arc.
The Colonels guard Airi Hamilton scored a career-high 20 points with 13 boards notching her first career double-double in todays matchup. The Colonels Loan-Anh Johnson scored 21 points with five rebounds and four steals.
The Huskies are headed Lake Charles this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. to faceoff with McNeese.
