HOUSTON - HBU takes on Texas Southern in an FCS non-conference, crosstown rivalry Saturday night at 6:05 p.m. at Husky Stadium. The broadcast will be shown live on ESPN3 and the first 150 HBU students will receive a free "H-Town Showdown" t-shirt.

Junior quarterback Bailey Zappe commands the offense, completing 107-of-150 passes for 1,319 yards and a nation-leading 14 touchdowns for HBU (3-1). Junior wide receiver Ben Ratzlaff is among the nation's top 10 with 32 catches for 470 yards and six touchdowns, while sophomore Jerreth Sterns has made 33 catches for 309 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Junior running back Dreshawn Minnieweather is the Huskies' leading rusher with 313 yards, while sophomore Ean Beek follows closely with 299. Both running backs topped 100 yards in last week's win over Northwestern State.

Junior linebacker Caleb Johnson ranks fourth in the nation with 11.8 tackles per game, while freshman safety Tra Fluellen averages 9.5 and sophomore linebacker Brennan Young 8.8 per game. Young and Fluellen each have two interceptions this season. Senior defensive end Andre Walker ranks second nationally with 7.5 sacks, which is already a school record for a single season.

Freshman kicker Gino Garcia has made 6-of-7 field goals, including a career-long of 51 yards, and junior punter Blake Patterson averages 42.21 yards. Senior Gamar Girdy Brito ranks third in the nation, averaging 35.2 yards per kickoff return.

DeAndre Johnson has completed 58-of-97 passes for 741 yards, five touchdowns and two interecptions for TSU (0-3). Tren'Davian Dickson has made 17 catches for 296 yards and three touchdowns, Donnie Corley has 13 catches for 154 yards and Chris Long has seven receptions for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns. LaDarius Owens is the Tigers' leading rusher with 195 yards and two touchdowns.

Patrick Howell leads the Tigers with 20 tackles and Ike Onwuasoanya has made 19. Jarryl Taylor and Marquel Daigle each have a sack and Daigle has TSU's lone interception on the year.

HBU leads the all-time series against TSU, 2-0, with the Huskies winning the last matchup between the two schools, 24-17, on Sept. 7, 2017, at BBVA Stadium. The Huskies and Tigers are scheduled to face each other again on Sept. 12, 2020, at BBVA Stadium.

During the game, the HBU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be accepting donations for the Cardinal Emergency Fund to assist those at Southland Conference institution Lamar University, who were affected by flooding associated with Tropical Storm Imelda.

The Huskies will wrap up their three-game homestand next Saturday as they return to Southland Conference play against Incarnate Word at 6:05 p.m. at Husky Stadium.
