CORPUS CHRISTI- HBU Softball took the Southland Conference opening series with their 4-2 win today. After dropping game one of the series the Huskies rallied in the nightcap yesterday to win 3-0 and came out today to win the series.

Elliot Estes (4-1) spun a complete game giving up two runs, one earned on five hits with three strikeouts.
Texas A&M-CC (4-20, 1-2) had five hits as a team with four of them coming from Ashley Moss and Skye Koehl. They also had both of the Islander's RBI's.
Kandace Johnson (3-5) went the distance for the Islanders giving up four runs on five hits with three strikeouts.
