The Huskies (0-1) got on the board first with a victory at five, as sophomore Brennan Miller and freshman Lindsay Harris downed Morgan Esters and Gabriella Becerra, 21-13, 21-15. The Green Wave (2-3) tied it with Haley Gibson and Ellie Leitko defeated freshmen Conley Harris and Lauren Huggins, 21-15, 27-25.

In the third position, freshmen Maddie Butters and Natalie Bennett, dropped a 21-14, 21-14 decision to Tarin Mergener and Addison Hermstad. The Huskies knotted it back up as the No. 2 pair of senior Bailey Banks and freshman Kylie Bryan rallied past Rio Frohoff and Lauren Orlich, 13-21, 21-17, 15-11. In the final match, the Huskies top tandem of senior Aeriel Horton and junior Tori Hinojosa were edged by Kaylie McHugh and Eva Torruella, 21-19, 21-19.

HBU returns to action at the Texas A&M-Kingsville Tournament Friday and Saturday in Kingsville.
