HUNTSVILLE, TX- HBU women's basketball lost their contest against Sam Houston State this afternoon by a score 64-83.
HBU (7-17, 2-12) were led by junior guard
Sophie Taylor who scored 20 points on the night to go with her five rebounds and three assists.
Taylor Kollmorgen fell just short of a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds.
Amanda Johnson added 12 points and four rebounds.
Sam Houston (14-11, 9-6) Lady Bearkats had four players score in the double digits including Jaylonn Walker who led all scorers with 22 points. Walker added six rebounds and six assists. Lydia Baxter scored 14 points with five rebounds. Kiera McKinney recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Amber Leggett added 12 points and four rebounds. Jenniffer Oramas led Sam Houston in assists with 10 to go with her eight points scoring.
HBU will return home to Sharp Gym this upcoming Wednesday Feb. 27 to face off with Lamar before welcoming McNeese March 2. Live stats and video will be available on HBUHuskies.com
