HOUSTON, TX- HBU Women's Basketball drops a weekend matchup against Southeastern Louisiana in their final game of the calender year by a score of 59-69.

HBU (4-7, 0-2 SLC) was led by Timia Jefferson in the loss. Jefferson shot 8-15 from the field to put up 22 total points to go with five steals. Julija Vujakovic was behind her in scoring with 13 points adding six rebounds and two steals. Abbey Sutherland and Kennedy Wilson each added six points with Taylor Kollmorgen and Marilyn Nzoiwu both grabbing five rebounds a piece. 

Southeastern Louisiana (4-6, 1-1 SLC) was led by Caitlyn Williams who scored a game high 28 points on 9-15 shooting from the field and 9-11 from the free throw line. Williams also grabbed a game high 16 rebounds to record a double-double. She was backed by Jyar Francis who scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds. Celica Sterling added 13 points and four rebounds to round out the Lady Lions leading scorers. 

HBU will enjoy a small Christmas break before returning to action New Year's Day as they take on Central Arkansas on the road.
