NACOGDOCHES, Texas – HBU volleyball faces the toughest portion of its Southland Conference schedule when it plays five of its next six on the road, beginning with Stephen F. Austin Thursday, then heading on to Central Arkansas Saturday.
 
Senior setter 
Madison O'Brien sets the pace for the offense, ranking second in the league with 9.27 assists per set and adding 2.32 digs per set for the Huskies (8-8, 1-1 SLC). Sophomore outside hitter 
Mikayla Vivens leads the league with 11 double-doubles, ranking third in the conference with 3.36 kills per set and 11
th with 3.33 digs per set. Sophomore middle blocker 
Megan Patillo and senior middle blocker 
Kayla Davenport average 1.80 and 1.69 kills per set, respectively, while each averaging just under a shade of one block per set. Sophomore right side 
Ashtyn Richey adds 1.73 kills per set and junior libero 
Hannah Lewis anchors the defense, ranking seventh in the league with 4.07 digs per set, while freshman defensive specialist 
Cici Collins averages 1.77 digs per set and has only one reception error in 80 attempts.
 
SFA (15-2, 2-0) is one of four undefeated teams in the conference entering the weekend. Haley Coleman leads the Lady Jacks with 2.81 kills per set, Peyton Redmond adds 2.59 and Danae Daron 2.43. Anyia Williams ranks second in the league with a .327 hitting percentage and Ann Hollas averages 6.43 assists per set. Defensively, Sabrina Monaco comes up with 3.71 digs per set and Daron ranks fourth in the conference with 1.16 blocks per set.
 
UCA (11-4, 1-1) is led by Samantha Anderson, who ranks second in the conference with 3.47 kills per set and Haley Tippett with 2.93 kills per set. Elizabeth Armstrong guides the offense with 8.25 assists per set and Emily Doss ranks fifth in the SLC with 4.16 digs per set.
 
Thursday's match begins at 6:30 p.m. at Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, Texas, followed by Saturday's match at noon at the Prince Center in Conway, Arkansas.
 
The Huskies return home against Incarnate Word on Saturday, Oct. 6, before setting out for three more on the road.
