Jessica Wooten and junior
Aeriel Horton have been selected as the AVCA/CollegeBeachVB.com National Pair of the Week, the AVCA announced Tuesday.
Wooten and Horton, the Huskies' No. 1 pairing, went 5-0 and led HBU to a 6-1 mark and the Southland Showcase title last weekend in Houston. They defeated New Orleans' Veronica Corcoran and Cara Snider, then Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Selina Marolf and Abigail Devido Friday, followed by a win over Central Arkansas Jessica Martinez and Aly Brinkley Saturday and downed UCA's Hayley Tippett and Megan Nash Sunday – all in straight sets.

Tori Hinojosa completed their comeback over to even the match at 2-2, Wooten and Horton sent their match against Corcoran and Rachel Kuhn to the deciding third set. They roared out to a 10-1 lead and claimed the match, 25-27, 21-16, 15-8.
Wooten and Horton finished the regular season with a 24-6 record and are currently the 10
th-ranked pair in the country.
