BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – HBU dropped a hard-fought 3-2 decision to TCU, then fell 4-1 to No. 8 LSU at the Battle on the Bayou Sunday at Mango's Beach Club.

Meagan Carter were defeated in the exhibition match by Kristy Wieser and Jordan Terral, 21-12, 22-20.
In the afternoon match against LSU, Wooten and Horton held off Claire Coppola and Kristen Nuss, 27-29, 25-23, 16-14, at number one for HBU's lone point. Armer and Hinojosa rolled in the first set, but Haleigh Nelson and Mandi Orellana came back for an 8-21, 21-17, 15-10 victory at two. Banks and Silveira fell to Hunter Domanski and Olivia Powers at three, 21-11, 21-12, and Megan Davenport and Emmy Allen scored a 21-11, 21-11 victory over Fluke and
Brennan Miller. Wheeler and Vivens were downed by Riley Young and Lilly Kessler at five, 21-11, 21-9.
The Huskies wrap up the regular season, by hosting the Southland Showcase Friday through Sunday at Third Coast. The event will feature the five Southland Conference schools that sponsor beach volleyball: HBU, Central Arkansas, New Orleans, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Abilene Christian.
