FORT WORTH, Texas – HBU opened its 2018 season with a 4-1 loss to 13
th-ranked TCU, but bounced back with a 4-1 victory over ULM at the Horned Frog Invitational Saturday afternoon at the TCU Beach Courts.
"Our squad was super excited to have the opportunity to play another team this weekend," HBU associate head coach
Cameron Sitler said. "We feel it is a great starting point to the season ahead of us. As a third year program, the first weekend always allows the chance to see how much we have grown from year to year. We're looking forward to competing again at UNO next weekend."

In the early matchup against the Horned Frogs, Armer and Hinjosa won at No. 2 over Jaelyn Greene and Jillian Bergeson, 21-11, 21-15, while
Jordyn Miller and Vivens took the exhibition over Jordan Terral and Clair Doyle, 21-14, 18-21, 15-13. At No. 1, Wooten and Horton were edged in three sets by Haven Hill and Cassie House, 21-19, 17-21, 15-10. Hannah Rogers and Molly Scheel clipped Banks and Silveira at No. 3, 21-17, 19-21, 15-13, while Jensyn Bledsoe and Avery Arellano downed Wheeler and
Brennan Miller, 21-17, 21-19. Jordan Westendorff and Brooke Sassin won at No. 5 over Carter and Fluke, 21-19, 21-11.
The Huskies return to action at the New Orleans Invitational Friday and Saturday in Covington, Louisiana.
