CORAL GABLES, Fla. – HBU will take on its second ACC opponent of the season after knocking off Wake Forest earlier in the season this Wednesday night at the Watsco Center, facing Miami at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time. The Huskies (3-6) dropped their first game of this two-game road trip in Birmingham, Ala. on Monday evening at Samford.
Ian DuBose pulled down a career-best 13 rebounds in the loss and now leads the team in both scoring, at 18 points per game, and rebounding, with 5.9 boards per game.
Jalon Gates knocked down five threes in the game and the Huskies out-rebounded the Bulldogs 46-41. With his five threes on Monday night, the junior guard now stands at 124 made three-pointers for his career which places him 10
th on the program's all-time list and is just 13 shy of ninth.

Philip McKenzie is pulling down 3.44 offensive rebounds per game, the highest mark in the Southland Conference and 27
th most in the nation. As a team, HBU is 12
th in the country with 14.44 offensive boards per game.
The Hurricanes (5-4) opened the season with five-straight wins but have dropped their last four, most recently at Penn, 89-75, on Tuesday, Dec. 4, which means Miami will have gone more than two weeks without a game on Wednesday evening.
Sophomore Chris Lykes leads Miami in scoring (16.9 ppg), assists (3.6 assists per game) and steals (1.8 steals per game) while Dejan Vasiljevic, a junior, is a sharpshooter from long-range, knocking down 45.9 percent (28-of-61) from deep on the year and averaging 13.1 ppg. In total, five different players on the Hurricanes' roster are averaging at least 12 ppg. As a team, Miami is out-scoring opponents by 9.1 ppg and is shooting 45.1 percent from the floor.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Huskies and the Hurricanes.
Wednesday's game marks the final non-conference road game of the season for the Huskies with a home matchup against Dallas Christian on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 1:00 p.m. inside Sharp Gym closing out the calendar year and the non-conference portion of the schedule.
