COLLEGE STATION, Texas – A sophomore and a pair of freshmen ran for HBU at the 2018 NCAA South Central Regional cross country race hosted at the Texas A&M Dale Watts '71 Cross Country Course on Friday morning.
Stephen Aguilar, a sophomore, improved nearly 50 spots from his finish as a freshman at the same race on the same course, placing 96
th with a time of 34:39.6 in the men's 10k. On the women's side, it was a pair of freshmen in
Jessica Rabius and
Naomi Simei who ran for the Huskies. Running a 6k race, Rabius bested her previous best in a 6k for HBU with a time of 24:23.3 while Simei crossed in 25:44.0 in their first-ever NCAA regional race.
HBU was one of 29 programs competing at the regional.
