HOUSTON – Stephen F. Austin recorded eight sacks to stifle HBU's high-scoring offense and claim a 42-14 victory in Southland Conference football Saturday night at Husky Stadium.

Bailey Zappe completed 15-of-34 passes for 143 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for the Huskies (1-6, 0-5 SLC). Sophomore running back
LaDarius Dickens rushed for 95 yards and caught a pair of passes for 21 yards. Freshman
Jerreth Sterns caught six passes for 74 yards and a touchdown, while junior
Terry Tillmon caught two passes for 21 yards and a score.

Patrick Wolfe led HBU with a career-high 13 tackles, while freshman linebacker
Brennan Young added 10. For the first time this season, the Huskies were held without an interception and did not record a sack. Redshirt freshman
Tyler Blanchard recorded the longest punt in HBU history with an 80-yard boot down to the 1-yard line in the second quarter.
Jake Blumrick completed 20-of-29 passes for 273 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a score for the Lumberjacks (2-5, 2-4). Josh McGowen rushed for 132 yards and caught two passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Terian Goree made nine receptions for 106 yards and Remi Simmons made five for 65 yards.
Raysha Nichols and Ryan Woods each had seven tackles for SFA. Nicholls also had 2.5 sacks, as did Demetrion Amie, while Anthony Jacobs had two sacks and Teddy Britton had one. Trey Ramos came up with the game's lone interception.
SFA scored quickly after HBU went three-and-out and a 10-yard punt set the Lumberjacks up at the 30. Thom Hutchings capped the two-play, 40 second drive with a five-yard run for a touchdown. HBU answered with Zappe's 40-yard touchdown pass to Sterns to tie the score, 7-7, after the first quarter.
Hutchings capped a nine-play, 54-yard drive in the second quarter with a three-yard touchdown run to give the Lumberjacks a 14-7 lead at halftime.
McGowen scored on a 61-yard pass from Blumrick, then Tamrick Pace scored on a 24-yard touchdown reception to put SFA ahead 28-7.

SFA scored fourth-quarter touchdowns on a 16-yard run by Blumrick and a 1-yard run by Jamall Shaw.
The Huskies return to action when they make their first trip to Natchitoches, Louisiana, to take on Northwestern State Saturday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.
