Sophomore guard
Lisa Zderadicka leads the Huskies (5-16, 3-8 SLC) with 10.6 points and 2.9 assists per game, while also grabbing 3.8 rebounds per contest. Senior guard
Heidi Byrd adds 8.3 points per game and is shooting nearly 40 percent from 3-point range. Freshman forward
Taylor Kollmorgen leads HBU with 6.5 rebounds per game, while chipping in 6.5 points per game.
The Bearkats (1-20, 1-10) are led by Jasmine McCants, who averages 8.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Jenniffer Oramas contributes 8.2 points per game and Lydia Baxer is SHSU's leading rebounder with 6.3 boards per contest.
HBU leads the all-time series against SHSU, 8-4, and are 4-2 against the Bearkats since joining the Southland in 2013.The Huskies won this year's prior meeting, 61-51, on Jan. 2 in Houston. Zderadicka poured in a career-high 25 points and dished out five assists, while Byrd nailed three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points. McCants led the Bearkats with 12 points, while Kiera McKinney had eight points and eight rebounds.
The Huskies return home to face Lamar for the first time this season Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Sharp Gym. The game will be presented by Houston Federal Credit Union and HBU will be supporting "Play4Kay" and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
