Junior (2015-16): Byrd appeared in all 29 games with two starts...averaged 5.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per game...registered 55 assists, seven blocked shots, and 11 steals...scored in double figures seven times, six in Southland Conference play, with a season-high 17 points and eight rebounds against Trinity (12/2)…scored 13 in back-to-back games at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2/3) and against Stephen F. Austin (2/6)…dished out a season-high six assists against Lamar (2/10)…made a career-high four 3-pointers against Trinity (12/2)…tied her career mark of two blocked shots against Sam Houston State (1/30).

Sophomore (2014-15): One of three Huskies to appear in all 33 games...started in 22...averaged 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds on the season and 4.1 points and 1.8 boards per game in conference play....second on the team with 16 three-pointers made...set a new career high with 19 points against McMurry (12/19) where she tied her personal mark of three 3-pointers made...she would tie it again later in the season versus Incarnate Word (2/19)...second on the team with 79 assists with a career high of seven against Sam Houston State (2/14)...registered two blocked shots against Arlington Baptist (12/13)...set a new personal best with four steals against Stephen F. Austin (2/28).

Freshman (2013-14): Played in all 29 games with two starts...averaged 4.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game...scored a career-high 12 points at Oral Roberts (1/2)...pulled down a personal-best seven rebounds against UT Arlington (11/8), where she also scored 11 points...dished out six assists against Southern Utah (11/16) and had three steals against Huston-Tillotson (12/28)...hit three 3-pointers twice: at Oral Roberts (1/2) and against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2/22)...averaged 5.2 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in conference play...named to Southland Conference Spring Honor Roll.

High School: Played for both the U-18 Team and the Senior Team in 2009-10 in Finland...she averaged 9.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for the U-18 Team...averaged 3.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for the Senior Team....both teams were coached by Danny Jansson....she was named Senior Team MVP...in 2010-11, she was an exchange student at Episcopal High School in Houston for head coach Lauren Mitchell, earning a letter in basketball...she averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds a game and was named Team MVP, while earning spots on the All-SPC Team and South Zone SPC Team....she went back to Finland in 2011-12, where she played for the U-18 and Senior Teams under head coach Timo Nieminen...as team captain for the U-18 Team, she averaged 10.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and was later named Female Player of the Year...for the Senior Team, she averaged 5.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Personal: Full name is Heidi Katariina Sihvola Byrd....majoring in biology...born Oct. 16, 1993 in Helsinki, Finland...daughter of Juha and Riitta Sihvola...has one sister, Miia...married Gabriel Byrd on May 15, 2016.
