Sophomore guard
Lisa Zderadicka leads the Huskies (4-14, 2-6 SLC) with 9.9 points and 2.9 assists per game to go along with 4.1 rebounds per contest. Senior guard
Heidi Byrd is coming off a career-high 21 points at Nicholls and averages 8.6 points per game. Freshman forward
Taylor Kollmorgen adds 7.4 points per game and ranks eighth in the league with 7.1 rebounds per contest.
The Cardinals (5-16, 3-7) are led by Celia Garcia Paunero, who ranks fifth in the conference with 17.9 points per game and leads the league with 10.6 rebounds per game. Cheyenne Berry adds 11.7 points per game and ranks fifth in the SLC with 3.7 assists per game, while Imani Robinson contributes 11.5 points per game.
HBU has never lost to UIW, holding an 8-0 record in the series after a win in this season's previous meeting on Jan. 14 in Houston. Zderadicka scored 13 points and grabbed 15 points, while sparking the Huskies on a 21-0 second-half run en route to a 68-51 victory. Byrd also scored 13 and Kollmorgen came off the bench to pitch in 11 points and seven boards. Garcia Paunero scored 18 points, but was held to only three rebounds, and Berry scored 14 points for the Cardinals.
The Huskies return home when they take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Sharp Gym.
