NASHVILLE, Tenn. – HBU men's basketball opens a four-day stretch that will include three games away from home beginning this Saturday, Nov. 18, when the Huskies face Belmont in the 2K Classic Benefiting Wounded Warrior Project at 3:30 p.m. in the Curb Event Center. Husky fans can listen to the action thanks to the Legacy Sports Network audio broadcast with Jeff Sutton available at HBUHuskies.com.

HBU (1-1) picked up a 108-67 win in its home opener on Tuesday evening over Arlington Baptist. Seven different Huskies reached double-digits in scoring in the win as they doubled-up the Patriots in rebounding, 52-26, with 22 of those 52 coming on the offensive end.

Freshman David Caraher is tied for 12th in the nation among all freshmen in scoring with 19.5 points per game through two contests. Caraher has led the Huskies in scoring in each of their first two games, leading all players in both scoring and rebounding. Sophomore Jalon Gates matched a career-high against Arlington Baptist, scoring 13 off the bench on 5-of-10 shooting that included 3-of-7 from three-point range.

The Huskies have seen a balanced scoring output so far with seven different players averaging from seven to 8.5 points per game.

Belmont (2-1) opened the season with an 86-82 loss at Washington before picking up wins over local rivals Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee. Senior Amanze Egekeze, a 6-8 forward, leads the Bruins in scoring with 21 ppg and is 10-of-21 from beyond the arc. Junior Dylan Windler is averaging a double-double with 17.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per outing. Over the last seven years, the Bruins have made four trips to the NCAA Tournament and three to the NIT.

HBU head coach Ron Cottrell and Belmont's Rick Byrd are both among the longest-tenured NCAA Division I coaches in the nation. The two have combined to coach 57 seasons at their respective institutions with Cottrell sixth on the longest-tenured list in his 27th season and Byrd fourth in his 32nd season.

The Huskies opponent for Sunday will depend on the outcome of Saturday's game with Belmont and the result of the game between Seattle (1-2) and Detroit Mercy (1-1). Regardless of which team HBU plays Sunday, the game will begin at 3:00 p.m. and take place at the Curb Event Center. HBU will then wrap up the 2K Classic by visiting Blacksburg, Va. to take on Virginia Tech on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 6:00 p.m. CST.
