Sophomore guard
Lisa Zderadicka is coming off back-to-back doubles for HBU (4-13, 2-5 SLC) - the first two of her career - against Incarnate Word and New Orleans. She is the Huskies' leading scorer at 10.2 points per game, while also grabbing 4.2 rebounds per game and leading the team with 39 assists and 16 steals. Senior guard
Heidi Byrd and freshman forward
Taylor Kollmorgen each add 7.8 points per game, with Kollmorgen leading HBU and ranking seventh in the league with 7.4 rebounds per game and 19 blocked shots.
Nicholls (6-12, 3-4) has four players averaging in double figures, led by a pair of freshmen in Cassidy Barrios, who ranks seventh in the SLC with 14.9 points per game and ninth with 7.1 rebounds per game, and Tykeria Williams, who averages 12.7 points per contest. Barrios also leads the Colonels with 51 assists and 41 steals. Hope Pawloski contributes 10.7 points per game and Taylor Morrison chips in with 10.2.Â
The all-time series between HBU and Nicholls is tied, 2-2. The Huskies won last season's meeting, 80-71, in Houston on Jan. 7, 2016.
The Huskies will have eight days off, before playing back-to-back road games for the first time since the season's opening week when they face Incarnate Word Thursday, Feb. 2 at 5:30 p.m. in San Antonio.
