FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – Arkansas hit 10 3-pointers en route to a 101-40 victory over HBU in the Huskies' final non-conference women's basketball tuneup Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena.
Sophomore guard
Amanda Johnson hit a pair of threes and led HBU (2-8) with 10 points. Freshman forward
Taylor Kollmorgen added nine points and seven rebounds, sophomore forward
Brooklyn Moore posted career highs with six points and five rebounds and freshman guard
Sophie Taylor had four points and six rebounds for the Huskies.
Jessica Jackson went 12-of-16 from the floor to lead Arkansas (11-2) with 34 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Keiryn Swenson had 23 points and seven rebounds, while Alecia Cooley chipped in with 10 points and eight boards. Jailyn Mason scored 10 points and handed out 11 assists for the Razorbacks.
Arkansas shot 52.1 percent from the field, 43.5 (10-for-23) from behind the arc, and 75.0 percent (15-for-20) from the free throw line, while holding HBU to 24.1 percent from the floor, 17.6 percent (3-for-17) from 3-point range, while the Huskies went 9-for-10 from the line. The Razorbacks outrebounded the Huskies, 51-27, and outscored HBU, 40-16, in the paint.
The Huskies begin Southland Conference play on the road against Stephen F. Austin Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at William Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, Texas.
