FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas - HBU returns to action after a week off for Christmas when it faces Arkansas in the final tuneup before Southland Conference play Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Bud Walton Arena. Jessica Jackson leads Arkansas (10-2) with 16.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, while Malica Monk adds 10.2 points per game. Keiryn Swenson averages 7.9 points and 4.3 rebounds, Alecia Cooley puts up 7.8 points and 5.8 rebounds, and Jailyn Mason averages 7.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. The Razorbacks started the season with a nine-game winning streak before dripping two of its last three.
Wednesday marks the first-ever meeting between HBU and Arkansas. Both teams have faced ULM and Oral Roberts in non-conference play with the Huskies going 0-2 and the Razorbacks defeating ULM, but falling to ORU.
The Huskies will begin Southland Conference play on the road against Stephen F. Austin Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Nacogdoches, Texas.
