Postgame Quotes – Head Coach Ron CottrellOpening comments…"I was very pleased with the way our guys came out. We really started the game strong defensively and ran the floor well, which was one of our concentrations coming in to tonight. We wanted to do the best we could to try and make every shot they took a difficult and challenged shot. Then, once we got a rebound, we wanted to do everything we could to try and score in transition or at least push their defense. We did a pretty good job with that tonight."
On balanced passing effort…"We were doing a really good job of moving the ball. We knew we wanted to get the cohesion of the offense down tonight with Will (Gates Jr.) getting his first game in and some of the other guys off the bench getting quality minutes and the execution level never dropped off. The guys were sharing the ball well and finishing at the rim."
On upcoming game with UC Riverside…"This upcoming Tuesday night will be a big home game for us. UC Riverside beats us last year at their place and they are playing well right now. They're going to come in here ready to go, so it is important for us to take the momentum and some of the positives we got tonight and turn it up to the next step. We are going to have to have a big effort when we play them here in Sharp Gym."
NOTE: Senior Anthony Odunsi participated in HBU's graduation ceremony earlier Saturday morning, having completed his bachelor's degree in managerial studies.
