HOUSTON – HBU men's soccer plays a home-and-home weekend series, as the Huskies welcome UMKC to Sorrels Field Friday, Oct. 16 at 7:00 p.m., then hit the road to face Air Force Sunday at 2:00 p.m. central time.

HBU leads the all-time series over UMKC, 2-1-0, while Air Force leads, 4-3-2. The Kangaroos defeated HBU last season, 3-1, while the Huskies knocked off the Falcons, 2-1, with both games in Houston.
 
HBU (6-6-0 overall, 2-2-0 WAC) had the biggest weekend since the resurrection of the program in 2006 as the Huskies defeated back-to-back nationally ranked conference opponents in No. 19 Seattle (3-1) and No. 23 Utah Valley (2-1). Dominick Faletto had a five-point weekend, with three coming against SU, en route to being named WAC Offensive Player of the Week and to Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week.
 
On the season, Marcelo Acuna and George Kelley lead the team with 12 points, with Kelley's six tallies tops. Faletto and Marc-Anthone lead with three assists apiece. Chance Pope started the last couple of matches and is 5-1-0 with a 1.05 GAA (5th in the WAC), a .750 save percentage (T-7th), and two shared shutouts.
 
UMKC (3-6-1, 1-2-0) snapped a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over Incarnate Word Oct. 8. Pandelis Popgeorgiev leads the 'Roos with three goals and six points. Felipe Cepeda has a team-best three assists. In goal, Ryan Tome and Henrik Regitnig have shared time, as Tome is 2-3-0 with a 1.89 GAA, a .615 save percentage, and one shutout, and Regitnig is 1-2-1 with a 2.29 GAA, a .750 save percentage, and one shutout. Regitnig is 7th in the WAC with 6.75 saves per game. Both keepers also have a shared shutout.
 
Air Force (4-6-0, 1-2-0) also snapped a losing streak by defeating Incarnate Word, 1-0, Oct. 11. The Falcons host UT Rio Grande Valley Friday before playing HBU. Tucker Axhoj leads the team with three goals and seven points, while Tucker Bone follows with five points. Between the pipes, John Wendt has seen the majority of action and is 3-5-0 with a 1.31 GAA (8th in the WAC), a .633 save percentage, and two shutouts.
 
Following the matches, HBU plays a Thursday contest at Incarnate Word on Oct. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
