2015 Western Athletic Conference Second Team

2015 (Sophomore): Acuna played in all 19 games with 18 starts...his 1,463 minutes played led all forwards...he led the team in goals (10), points (24), shots (52), shots on goal (23), and game winning goals (4)...his four game winners place him T-3rd for most in a single season in program history...had two, 2-goal games: versus UMKC (10/16) and CSU Bakersfield (10/30)...began his HBU career with a three-point game against Lubbock Christian (8/28)...tallied another three-point contest against Milwaukee (9/11)...earned Second Team All-WAC honors.

Before HBU: Attended Universidad Escuela Libre Derecho in San Jose, Costa Rica.
High School: Five-year letterwinner and starter for coach Reiner Valverde at Saint Paul College...named Best Player and Top Goal Scorer in 2012... He played club for both Belen FC and Saprissa Academy for coaches Marco Herrera and Douglas Sequeira. He scored 14 goals in one tournament in 2012 with Belen and later earned Top Goal Scorer honors at the U-17 championships. He was part of two national championships: 2012 with Belen and 2014 with Saprissa. Acuna has international experience representing Costa Rica’s U-20 youth national team.
