NEW ORLEANS, La. – HBU sophomore outside hitter
Jessica Wooten recorded a match-high of 13 kills, along with her nine digs for the Huskies in their 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-16) victory over New Orleans in the Southland Conference opener Thursday evening at Lakefront Arena.

Megan McStravick had 10 kills for HBU (6-9, 1-0 SLC), along with her seven digs. Senior outside hitter
Bailey Keith recorded 11 kills for the Huskies. Sophomore setter
Kayla Armer had a match-high of 39 assists against the Privateers. Senior libero
Haley Hoffman recorded a match-high of 11 digs against UNO (5-10, 0-3).
Mikay Sellers-Wiebe led her team with 11 kills, along with six digs. Sara Hammoutene led the Privateers with 21 assists. Celeste Ramirez also recorded six digs for UNO.
The Huskies outblocked the Privateers 4-3. HBU also outhit UNO 47-26. The Huskies outdug the Privateers by 11 digs.
The Huskies will return to action Saturday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. against Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond, La.
