DALLAS – HBU sophomore setter Kayla Armer helped lead the Huskies with a double-double of 38 assists and 16 digs in their 3-1 (25-23, 25-14, 20-25, 27-25) loss to College of Charleston Saturday afternoon at the SMU Tournament in the concluding match.
 
Senior outside hitter Bailey Keith led HBU (5-9) with 17 kills with only two errors, along with three blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Jessica Wooten also recorded a double-double for the Huskies with 14 kills and 12 digs. Senior outside hitter Megan McStravick had 12 kills for HBU. Senior libero Haley Hoffman had 17 digs for the Huskies. Freshman middle blocker Blair Gillard led HBU with five blocks.
 
Melissa Morello recorded 13 kills and a match-high of 25 digs for College of Charleston. Cara Howley also had a double-double of 19 kills and 10 digs for the Cougars. Sloan White recorded 15 kills for College of Charleston, while Krissy Mummey had 10. Kallie McKown had 33 assists for the Cougars, while Mackenzie Cooler had 21. Andi Zbojniewicz recorded 20 digs for College of Charleston and McKown added 14 digs for the team.
 
The Huskies outblocked the Cougars 7-4. College of Charleston outhit HBU 69-53. The Cougars outdug the Huskies 92-69.
 
The Huskies will continue their season away at New Orleans on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 6:30 p.m.
