ABILENE, Texas - HBU hits the road again looking to snap a six-game losing streak against Abilene Christian, which has lost four straight, in Southland Conference basketball Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Moody Coliseum. Sophomore guard
Rob Lewis leads HBU (4-18, 1-9 SLC) with 10.8 points per game and scored 13 points for the Huskies at Sam Houston State Saturday, after being held under double figures in three-straight games. Sophomore forward
Cody Joyce has scored in double figures in 12 of the last 13 games and averages 10.5 points per game. Junior guard
Tyler Russell adds 9.7 points per game, and sophomore guard
Caleb Crayton is averaging 8.8 points per game in Southland play. Sophomore forward
Dauson Womack leads the Huskies on the glass with 4.8 rebounds per game.
Harrison Hawkins and LaDarrien Williams each lead ACU (7-15, 1-7) with 12.3 points per game, but have both have missed the last six games. Parker Wentz averages 11.1 points per game, while Austin Cooke is the Wildcats' leading rebounder at 5.8 per game.
ACU leads the all-time series against HBU, 2-0, and the Wildcats claimed the last meeting, 84-72, on Nov. 17, 2007, in Abilene.
