After an RBI single by Katie Doerre in the bottom of the third to give the Bobcats a 4-3 lead, all was quiet until the Huskies tied it in the top of the seventh with a one-out homer by Bauer. Orsak then hit a two-out double and later scored on an RBI double by K. Schwirtlich to give the Huskies a 5-4 lead heading to the bottom of the seventh.
Wiley continued to be a thorn for the Huskies, as she hit a one-out double. After reaching third on a single, Wiley was replaced by pinch-runner Ali Akina, who scored on Delia Saucedo's sac fly to tie the game at 5-5.

In the bottom of the eighth, with Daniella Warne placed on second, she scored unearned on an HBU throwing error, which allowed Doerre to reach base safely. Bianca Prado pinch ran for Doerre and it looked like the Huskies were going to force a ninth inning, as they got a pop-up and a line out. But North singled down the right-field line which scored Prado for the winning run.
HBU will participate in the Mardi Gras Classic this weekend, hosted by ULM. The Huskies' first opponent will be Southeast Missouri State Friday at 1:15 pm.
