HOUSTON – On Wednesday evening, the HBU basketball team helped prepare the meal for Thursday's Thanksgiving Big Super Feast hosted by City Wide Club at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

"As members of our community, we want to be active participants in serving people in our area," Head Coach Ron Cottrell said. "We have so much to be thankful for, and our young men wanted to share their time and help in a small way to prepare the meal for Houston's Thanksgiving Big Super Feast. All of us in the HBU Basketball program want to wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving."

The Huskies carved turkeys, made huge helpings of sweet potatoes, stuffing, 500 pounds of cornbread and had fun spending time with the other volunteers. The event will help provide a Thanksgiving meal as well as medical attention for thousands of people in need.
