Jessica Wooten led the Huskies with 11 kills in their 3-0 (25-23, 25-24, 25-19) fall to Lamar University Thursday evening in Southland Conference volleyball in Beaumont, Texas.
Senior outside hitter
Bailey Keith recorded 10 kills for HBU (14-16, 8-7 SLC). Sophomore setter
Kayla Armer led the Huskies with 32 assists. Senior libero
Haley Hoffman had nine digs for HBU.
Cortney Moore recorded 13 kills for the Cardinals. Ashley Ellis had 37 assists for Lamar. Both Amethyst Hollowell and Megan Schwartz had match-highs of 10 digs for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals outblocked the Huskies 7-5. Lamar outhit HBU 41-33. The Huskies fell by eight digs to the Cardinals.
The Huskies will return to action Saturday, Nov. 15 to face Sam Houston State at 11 a.m. This will be Senior Day for HBU as they close out their regular-game season.
