NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Reigning Southland Conference champion and 2013 preseason favorite, Stephen F. Austin, scored a goal in each half and held visiting HBU to one shot on goal, as the Huskies fell to SFA, 2-0, Friday evening from SFA Soccer Field.

SFA's first tally came in the 20th minute, as Chelsea Raymond scored unassisted. She created a one-on-one opportunity and beat HBU goalkeeper Patty Walrath to give the Ladyjacks a 1-0 lead.

HBU narrowly tied the match, but Molly Missimer's shot in the 30th minute hit the post.

Shots were even at four apiece in the opening half, while SFA led 3-0 in shots on goal and 9-5 in corner kicks.

SFA increased its lead to 2-0, as Rachel Owens scored an unassisted tally in the 55th minute.

The second half was dominated by the Ladyjacks, as, after Owens' goal, SFA had two shots go wide, one shot hit the post, and one save by Walrath in a span of two minutes. The Ladyjacks outshot HBU, 12-2, in the half.

Walrath dropped to 1-2-0 on the season, as she made seven saves. Amina Radoncic had the lone shot on goal for the Huskies.

Lacey Lee started in goal and earned the win, improving to 6-1-0, as she played in 45 minutes. Morgan Glick played the second half and made one save. Chantal Curry led the Ladyjacks with four shot attempts and three shots on goal.

HBU (2-8-1, 1-3-0 SLC) will look to rebound at McNeese State Sunday at 1 pm.
