HOUSTON – Houston Baptist concludes its season-opening three-match home stand Saturday evening, Sept. 1, hosting the Stetson Hatters at 7 pm under the lights at Sorrels Field.

This will mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

HBU (1-1-0) opened its 2012 campaign with a convincing 5-1 victory over Oral Roberts on Aug. 24, but was shut out by Campbell two days later, 1-0.

Thilo Borgmann leads the Huskies with two goals and four points, while Mark Gendi has three points on a goal and an assist. John McDuffee has two points. Kyle Herbison, Gustavo Alvarado, and Walter Kromholz have played in all 180 minutes so far this season.

Zach Harwerth started both matches in goal for HBU and has a 1-1-0 record, a 1.00 goals-against average, and a .800 save percentage.

Stetson's (0-2-0) match at HBU concludes the Hatters' season-opening three-match road trip, as Stetson lost at Penn State, 3-0, and at #9 West Virginia, 1-0, last weekend.

Jonathan Mendoza leads Stetson with three shots. The Hatters have only been held to three shots on goal in two matches, as Kai Eckenrode, Evan Jimmo, and Raffaele Centofaniti each have one.

Andreas Schnabl has started both matches and has a 0-2-0 record, a 2.00 GAA, and a .600 save percentage.
