Kelsey Lou-Hing shot a 78 and is tied for eighth, and the Huskies are in fifth as a team after the second round of the Monterey Bay Invitational Monday at the 6,018-yard, par-72 Del Monte Golf Club.
Paired with Sunday's 77, Lou-Hing stands at 155 through 36 holes. Senior
Paige Gibson and sophomore
Katie Paxton each shot 79 and are tied for 18
th at 159. Senior
Natasha Lee carded an 80, while sophomore
Jessica Ngui shot an 83, and both are tied for 32
nd at 163. Freshman
Caitlyn Cassity is tied for 46
th at 167 after an 84 in the second round.
Missouri State leads the team competition at 610, 18 strokes ahead of Wichita State. Winthrop and Columbia are tied for third at 630, while HBU rounds out the top five at 633.
Missouri State's Chiara Citterio is playing individually and leads the individual competiton at 4-over par 148, one stroke ahead of Winthrop's Jennifer Dilger and two strokes ahead of Central Arkansas' Julia Roth. Missouri State has the first, fifth, sixth, seventh and 13
th place players in the field.
The tournament wraps up with the final round Tuesday beginning at 8 a.m.
