Houston Baptist returns from the Christmas break and hits the road to face LSU Friday at 7 p.m. at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La. The game will be televised live on the Cox Network.

The Huskies (4-7) are led by senior forward Art Bernardi, who averages 14.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Tyler Russell averages 11.4 points per game and leads the team with 26 assists. Freshman guard James Harper adds 6.3 points per game, while freshman forward Dauson Womack averages 5.1 boards per game.

Shavon Coleman leads the Tigers (7-2) with 14.4 points per game to go along with 7.8 rebounds per game. John O'Bryant III adds 13.3 points and leads LSU with 8.5 rebounds per game. Andre Stringer averages 12.2 and Anthony Hickey averages 10.3 points per game. Charles Carmouche leads the Tigers with 34 assists and also averages 9.1 points per game.

LSU leads the all-time series against HBU, 2-0, but this marks the first meeting in 29 years, with the Tigers taking a 60-59 decision in the last meeting on Dec. 19, 1983, in Baton Rouge.

The Huskies return to action when they host Army on New Year's Eve at 2:05 p.m.
