DOVER, Del. – Houston Baptist, in its first visit to Great West Conference member Delaware State, battled the Hornets to a 0-0 double overtime tie Saturday morning at Alumni Stadium.
HBU outshot the Hornets, 16-3, including a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Huskies held a slim 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Molly Missimer (4) and
Amina Radoncic (3) combined for 12 of the 16 shot attempts. Missimer led the Huskies with three shots on goal.
Shelby Horn started the match and played 45 minutes, making zero saves.
Stephanie Castellon played the remaining 65 minutes, making one save which occurred in the first overtime period.
Kathleen Numer, Kelsey Gibson and Candace Wyre each had a shot attempt for DSU, with Numer having the only shot on goal.
Katelyn Koslosky played all 110 minutes, making 10 saves.
Both teams had their opportunities to score. Wyre's shot hit the post in the 35th minute. HBU had a corner kick in the 107th minute, but could not convert.
HBU (6-7-1, 1-0-1 GWC) will get a two-week break before playing its final road contest of the season, at Utah Valley, on Oct. 15 at 8 pm CST.
