Senior Tori Hinojosa and partner freshman Danielle Okeke went 3-2 as the Huskies opened their season. The duo swept No. 9 Stetson's top pair to lead HBU to the program's first-ever victory over a ranked opponent. Hinojosa, from San Antonio, and Okeke, from Wichita Falls, also recorded wins over No. 13 South Carolina's top pair and in the season opener againt Spring Hill. For their efforts, they were named the inaugural Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week.
